As a non-profit trade association, we value creating best practices guidelines that are easily accessed, adopted and shared, and managed and improved over time. Our process for creating and organizing best practices is driven by open access, education, comprehensive review, and transparency:

Open Access
Best practices guidelines are available to all industry stakeholders, regardless of whether they are members of SIMA.

SIMA is spearheading educational partnerships and communication programs to help all parties adopt the best practices guidelines over time.

Comprehensive Review
Best practices guidelines are reviewed by groups of stakeholders, including subject matter experts, snow contractors, facilities managers, and industry materials and equipment suppliers.

Quality Control & Transparency
Best practices guidelines are living documents, and suggestions, recommendations, or concerns can be submitted online here. All comments submitted to SIMA will be reviewed.
